Krista began working with the Financial Designs Tax Team in 2023, when she came alongside her husband (John) in providing payroll, bookkeeping and tax services to clients. However, her experience as a Certified Public Accountant began almost twenty-five years earlier when she worked for Deloitte in Audit & Assurance Services (financial statement audit, primarily). She also worked at a large regional public accounting firm – for ten years as the firm’s Controller, overseeing the firm’s Accounting, Human Resources, Risk Management, Information Technologies, and Facilities and then for another two years as its Audit Division Leader.

Krista graduated from Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas with a BSB in Accounting, with minors in Music and Mathematics. She spends her “free” time watching her boys play soccer but also enjoys reading in her sunroom (with a blanket and cup of coffee) and baking.
